Built in 1928, this Fullerton Building (now known as Fullerton Hotel) was the centre of Singapore's commercial, social and official life. It became home to the three of the most important institutions of Singapore; The General Post Office, The Singapore Club, and The Chamber of Commerce. This building represents a significant and statuesque of Palladian architecture with its distinguishing Doric columns in Singapore.
In the early days, the Fullerton Building was occupied by the General Post Office, which used the basement and two floors as sorting rooms, postal halls and offices. It was utilising the waterfront along Collyer Quay to transport the mail onto waiting ships.
The Fullerton Building is now a 400 room 6 Star prestigious hotel in Singapore with magnificent views of the city skyline and the river promenade. For a dining experience, there are restaurants and bars and a café with innovative culinary concepts with a wide selection of Mediterranean and Asian delights.
This hotspot is just seconds away from the Raffles Place Mass walk to the Asian civilisations Museum, Victoria Concert Hall and the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay.
