There are probably over a million websites giving advice on how to earn money via the Internet. It is possible too that there may be ten times that amount of articles devoted to the same theme, making money via the Internet. This is a phenomenon that will not go away any time soon as the lure of making money with minimal work is too strong. While some of these are obvious scams created solely for the purpose of separating gullible and greedy people from their monies, there are others, which do follow through on their promises. One example of those, which appears to fall into the latter category, has at its helm one Tim Lowe.

What Tim Lowe is involved in is what is described as Internet marketing. With the advent of the Internet the world has become significantly more accessible to everyone and is now a global market. Internet marketing is basically the marketing of goods and/or services on the Internet. This marketing leads to an increase in sales, which in turn leads to an increase in profits.

Internet marketing can take many forms, one of which is banner advertisements. This form of marketing surrounds the placing or embedding of advertisements on web pages. The aim of this is to increase traffic to the website of the advertiser by linking it to the advertisement placed. These advertisements get their name from the fact that they look like actual banners.

Another method of Internet marketing involves utilizing Google AdSense. With this method you allow advertisements of other websites to appear on your website and revenue is earned based on a per-click basis. Somewhere in the mix a keyword plays a role. Also when you buy advertisements and they appear on other websites a link is created back to your website.

There is also another Internet marketing method that people swear by called affiliate marketing. This is where an affiliate is rewarded for each customer or visitor they refer. This reward can take the form of cash or kind. In this scenario four parties comprise the system, the merchant, the network, the affiliate, and the customer.

One more way Internet marketing is done is through the use of what are known as pay per click programs. Advertisements are created which are linked to keywords and you pay when your advertisements are clicked. These programs are available from both Yahoo and Google and the rates may range from a few cents to hundreds of dollars. Where your advertisements appear in the search engines depends largely on the amount you pay per click. The more you are willing to pay the higher it will appear in the search engines which translate into more traffic and more profits.

At the end of the day the method of Internet marketing people will gravitate to be the one that has the least amount of work involved and has the highest rate of returns. Based on the numbers being advertised by the Tim Lowe model it would seem deserving of a closer look.
