I’ve always wondered if I have the skills and abilities, and more importantly the patience to deliver landscaping service in Houston. I’m an amateur gardener, and I’d like to think I have the inclination for landscape maintenance in Houston, Texas, or at the very least the required aesthetic appreciation skills for that sort of thing, and I know from experience that I am a bit of a green thumb as I did grow up tending to my parents’ garden every weekend. You might say that it’s something of a hobby for me, or maybe a passion that remains untapped.
But landscaping is really quite a different thing, not just putting plants in pots and watering them regularly. Landscaping really is as much an industry as it is an art: You have to carefully combine creativity and construction resulting in an exquisite presentation with all parts fixed to their intended points. Whether you’re planning to perform custom pool landscaping or landscaping with palm trees in Houston as the focal point, it is a must to consider all the essentials first such as the irrigation systems, sprinklers, wood fences, and walkways. You also have to know how to repair these things. It’s not all just happy hippie stuff; it’s really long hard physical work.
I know I’ll enjoy that job. Custom landscaping people’s gardens and lawns and pools, the regular maintenance of commercial and residential areas, working with other people, other green thumbed people, for months on end just to bring about the perfect slope of green grass, the perfect mosaic of orange, yellow, and red tulip patches, the inevitable tranquility of a Zen garden in spring.
I’m still thinking about it, actually. It requires a sort of commitment and patience that I don’t really know if I have, yet. And you’d have to have money to set this up, it’s not like I’ll only need a spade and some gloves and clippers. You’ll need pickaxes and shovels and mowers and trimmers and a decent truck and all sorts of stuff if you want to perform landscape services in TX, stuff that you can’t really just buy out of a whim. You have to be serious about getting into landscaping, you have to invest in it, you have to love it.
So, will I do it, finally, after years of thinking about it? Well, I’m still thinking about it.
