The Need to Connect

Honestly, I’m one of the many who won’t survive without internet connection, what better to be updated on the whereabouts of friends, family and even complete strangers from halfway across the world – virtually anywhere they are on god’s green earth. I find myself hooked to Facebook and Twitter reading public accounts as some people, stupid as it seems, still remain oblivious to ‘Privacy Settings’. Majority of my time online is dedicated to researching, or so I like to call it. I just get a high from reading about any of my contacts’ recent breakups, fleeting hookups, dates-gone-wrong, cooking escapades, getaways, nook/music/series/movie reviews, what-have-you. Like my day wouldn’t be complete without knowing what’s going on in the (online) world. So you can only imagine how life was like for one whole week sans working laptop and WLAN network.
It started with a soft buzzing sound. For days my laptop would give off this ever so slight noise that I didn’t really bother with. I was no Denver electrician that I figured it was nothing out of the ordinary. It couldn’t possibly cost my life, or so I thought. Days became weeks, the slight buzz turned into an annoying ringing in my ear. My roommate suggested having the computer by any of the adept Denver electricians or technicians. What was she thinking, or was she even? I couldn’t possibly be separated from my computer. Instead of giving her a whole litany, I gave her but a long meaningful stare upon suggesting and right away, she knew better than to meddle with my very close relationship with my laptop.
I couldn’t possibly be without-computer; the mere thought was as grave as eternal damnation more than anything else. Can’t the buzzing just die down and my laptop be back to its normal working state? A case of careful what you wish for, the buzzing sure was gone and so was the display – no sound, no images whatsoever. Though I had no knowledge ala technical-cum-electrical contractor in Denver, I tried my hand in fixing my MacBook Pro all to no avail. I frantically contacted all known computer technicians and electrical contractors in Denver. I know better now than to disregard a minor computer problem and instead seek the help of a construction electrician in Denver – absolutely anyone who can fix the pressing problem lest my life would come to a tragic end.
