Armed with buckets of paint and a roller brush, I conditioned my mind that painting in Washington is going to be fun though I wasn’t sure how to make this happen yet. Since dad gave us the freedom to choose whichever colors that pleased us for the fence and walls, I went for earthy shades like rust and olive green. As we busied ourselves with the painting task, dad focused on exterior house staining, which, from a distance seemed more fun so I went up to him to check out the difference of staining from painting.
Showing interest in what he’s doing sort of surprised my dad, as he knows I’m the least member of the family who would want to get her hands and designer shirt stained. While I stood there watching him, dad volunteered some interesting information about Wa and how painting has become a regular activity among its homeowners. According to dad, Washington is a US state that is often visited by the rain that is why homes and commercial properties here undergo staining and painting on a regular basis.
