91: Disaster Recovery in Chicago
Environmental and manmade disasters can happen anytime. They are accidents that are avoidable but definitely repairable. Chicago, being the largest city in US, is clearly not an exemption from these catastrophes. The1995 Heat wave was a proof of that.

92: Loving Jamaica!
My daughter was playing at the garden with her friends when she passed thru our gate and got caught by the steel sticking out at the side of the lock.

93: Cities I Love
Roofing in San Jose is one of the major projects of homeowners. Roofing contractors in Los Gatos, on the other hand, don’t know which house to work on first because they are so in demand as residents want their roofs to be always in tiptop shape.
I’ve read in magazines that roofing in Santa Clara is normally made up of wood shingle. Wood shingle roofs have three types: Western Red Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar and Eastern White Cedar. All of which grows gray or silver as time goes by, adding to the regal effect of the roof. It is relatively smooth and uniform in thickness but differs in width.

94: House Renovation for Maryland Residents
My first renovation project was the bathroom. Bathroom remodeling in MD is highly regarded by handymen since most residents are more likely to buy a house with a beautiful, spacious and clean bathroom. Next was our kitchen and the bedrooms came as finale.

95: Construction in Alberta
Home construction in Calgary is on the rise these days. With the oil and gas economy gaining ground today, it has secured the residents of Alberta and Calgary along with it a sunny outlook at least in the foreseeable future. As new houses are being buit from the ground up, homeowners and landlords alike are coming to terms with the sudden influx of potential renters and first home buyers in the market. As a result, home renovation in Calgary has also begun to become popular as a direct response to the numerous newly erected houses as landlords and property managers have to keep up with home design trends or risk losing clients and potential business.

96: Economy in Calgary
During the colonial times, irrigation in Calgary or rather what is now modern Calgary, Alberta in Canada was somewhat a problem back then. Now it may seem strange that Calgary would have a problem with irrigation since it is located near the vicinity of two rivers, the Bow River which runs from west to south and the Elbow River which runs north to south and converges on the Row River in the center of the modern city.

97: Our Responsibility to Planet Earth
In this time of global warming and climate change, humanity is waking up to the fact that our planet is dying with the continuous abuse and pillaging of its riches and resources. All over the planet, changes are happening at a rapid pace that scientists can only attribute to human excess and exploitation. In the polar ice caps, ancient glaciers and icebergs that have been around for thousands of years are slowly melting away, resulting in sea levels rising around the world. Natural calamities and disasters are becoming more and more frequent with death tolls rising with each catastrophe. No country or continent is safe: in the Americas, hurricanes and typhoons are occurring at an alarming rate. Asia is being deluged with floods and tsunamis. Australia’s temperature is steadily rising over the years with the worst heat waves ever recorded occurring in a single month.

98: Have the Rich Conquered NY?
Home construction in NY is getting more and more expensive nowadays. Blame it on the nouveau rich and the old guard: they have acquired most of the prime real estate in New York City. The Guggenheims, the Rockefellers and the newly made men and women that have chosen to live in New York City have made Manhattan their own personal playground. Can you blame them? New York, or rather Manhattan, the small island in the middle of the city is now without a doubt the center of the world. It is the new Rome, some might say.

99: Finding the Best Roofers in Canada
It rained very hard over the weekend drenching my newly upholstered living room set. The ridge of my Vancouver home’s stone coated roofing cracked, thus water leaked through. So unfortunate is the fact that I’m left all alone at home as my housemate took a five-day vacation in Paris. I’m left with no other choice but to resolve this by myself.

100: Do’s and Don’ts in Remodeling
When remodeling your house, you have to remember that what you are doing is a relatively substantial purchase. It is very much like buying a new car. The price would be at around the same range and these things you do not take lightly. There are many stories, and this is one example, where a remodeling contractor in St. Louis County ripped homeowners off their money. For a simple job of residential remodeling in St. Louis County, the wrong repairs and tasks have been done and the owners had to pay for more repairs that never really necessary in the first place. A normal job of bed and bath remodeling in St. Louis County became a nightmare of bills paid by the couple.
