In addition to the quality of paper stock and the size and shape, you also have to consider the flaps and closures needed to form your custom envelopes. These two are crucial areas that you have to look into to design an ideal and effective envelope printing to hold your correspondences.
The flaps and closures that you would be considering for your envelope depends on the amount of security and protection you need for your documents. In addition, your choice would also be based on how you would want your envelope to be presented to your target recipients. Whether you want your envelope closed or open depends on your decision on the matter of sealing your documents inside your stationery accessory.
Here are the different seals you can use for your envelope printing:
The Standard Seal –
The standard seal has that sticky flap where you need to moisten it first before you can close your envelope. The good thing about it is that you don’t actually need to produce it yourself. It is readily available anywhere and you can just print your information onto it. The downside to this seal is that it’s so generic that you will not have the custom envelopes
you want to make your marketing tool stand out. You can just rely on your company logo and slogan to help you be different from the rest.
The Self-Closing Envelope –
This type of envelope requires you to rip off the plastic backing so you can expose the synthetic and sticky substance on the flap. Then you can seal the document in your envelope. The good part is that you don’t need to contend anymore with using your tongue or a wet sponge to moisten the sticky portion in the envelope. It also protects the contents inside, so tightly that you can have your documents inside the envelope for a very long time or in a long journey and you’re guaranteed that they will remain there until your recipients finally take them out.
The Re-usable Envelope –
This one is so practical to have because you can save much of your budget by being able to use it again and again. Hence, this envelope is ideal for inter-office correspondences. The reusable closure features a clasp that combines a fancy button and a string. You can keep your documents inside by tying the string around the fancy button to keep the envelope closed.
The advantage of this one is that you can use it over and over again because you don’t have to rip it in order for you to get what’s inside. It is also ideal for documents that are not confidential, hence, there’s no need to really seal the envelope. You don’t need then to pay extra for the gum costs.
The downside? You can’t really use it for formal and confidential documents as it can easily be opened by anyone while on its way to the right recipients.
After deciding on the right flap, you are now ready to start printing envelopes for your business.
