So you are ready for poster printing? Is your design really ready and fool proof for the poster printing process? Well, before you go all out with this, you should always try a last “cleaning up” of your poster design. You do not want to mass produce a horrific error that will render your color posters useless right? So, to help you out, here are a few simple tips on how to clean up your poster designs properly.

• Eliminating bad text – To eliminate bad text, you should not rely on electronic proof reading alone. Only real people can still effectively understand and edit good and bad text in poster printing. However, to be sure that nothing gets past your proof readers, it is best to have multiple people check your posters, multiple times. Three checks by three people should really be great at eliminating bad text content and bad text design. Try to ask for opinions about the brochure design while you are at it. This should really help you in cleaning out the designs.

• Eliminating bad objects – Now, each color poster design will have several design objects composited together for the full design to form. Each of these objects must always be checked before printing. Usually it is mandatory to always use high quality, high resolution images in posters so that they do not get fuzzy on printing. However, sometimes, low resolution images do get included accidentally or out of laziness. You should check for these bad objects or your color posters won't look as pristine as you want.

Try to check each layer, object per object so that you are sure that everything looks fine. Have two or three more people check it so that you guys don't miss anything.

• Correcting the colors – Sometimes, your colors may not be as ideal as you want for a certain kind of poster printing. Depending on your skill as an artist, it is possible to get some color combinations quite good or quite wrong if you are not careful. To improve and enhance your poster designs, you should always try the automatic color correction feature of your poster design software. This should make the colors quite ideal and perfect for poster printing.

• Printing samples – Finally, to be really sure about the quality and “cleanliness” of your poster designs, it is good to always print some sample posters using your own printer. There are a few aspects about the printed poster that can't be seen effectively on the screen of the computer. Hence sometimes, we see errors after the printing has happened.

Printing samples of the color poster lets you test out the design in real life to see if it really works quite well with natural light. This helps you notice errors and of course gives a chance to correct the colors or edit lighting values to make the the poster as ideal a possible. Try print your samples on your home printer if possible to lessen cost, or you can have some sample printings created and done by a poster printing company.

Great! By doing these steps, you are assuring yourself of clean and almost perfect designs for good poster printing. It is better to be sure about these things so that every printing turns out well.
