Photography is the science of drawing an image using light. Nowadays, the mode of photography can either be digital or through film. Film photography has ruled the photography world for quite some time going through different evolutions throughout its existence. There are those 120 films or the ones called medium format films for the twin lens reflex cameras during the 50s. The good thing about having a 120 film format is during portrait photography. Then came the smaller version of films called 135 films or more popularly known as 35mm films. These films became cheaper compared to their 120 predecessor. From only 12 shots, now 35 mm films can be bought through 12, 24, and 36 shot films.
When it comes to their developing there are different chemicals that can be used depending on the film. If it’s a black and white film, D-76 chemical is the most popular compared to the color film which is typically developed through C-41 processing. If you are using a color slide, a film used by the pros; you could either use a specialized chemical for color slides or go for cross processing with C-41. The bad thing about film that made way to the development of digital photography is the cost of producing the photographs. You have to undergo tedious process just to process a single roll of film. Accumulate the cost of such made people patronize digital format. However, real photographers love film format as it is undeniably more beautiful and pure when it comes to photography as an art.
Digital photography on the other hand revolutionized how we know photography. Digital photography can undergo post processing via our very own digital software. Different camera manufacturers see to it that they keep the competition as close as possible. From the bloated pixels of cameras to the stability features of their own lenses have made photography today very sophisticated. Canon, Nikon has now rejuvenated its rivalry while other players are now getting tighter in the mix. Olympus DSLRs for example are very competitive since their lenses are also same lenses used during laparoscopic procedures. Then there are the ones made by Sony and Minolta, where their lenses were the same lenses used by NASA. Now, either film or digital format; photography has never been so interesting.
San Francisco photography is known all over the US. They cater to different subjects from real estate photography to portrait photography. Most clients of photography companies require photos for commercial use in San Francisco.
