Research has it that parents who never say NO to their children are raising the world’s future fugitives. It’s never wrong to give love and show care to your child, but giving too much of everything to your child won’t help him. In the contrary, you’re making a brat out of him.
Busy mothers and fathers would usually buy their children expensive toys and gadgets thinking these things will make up for the time they failed to give their children. Little do they know that by doing this they’re forming materialistic monsters out of their own children.
Child psychologists advise that parents should be present in their children’s activities. Expensive toys don’t earn the point. Children would rather spend long hours with their Moms and Dads in their backyard playground. Whether this is made up of wooden playhouses or old toddler playsets, they could care less.
Truth of the matter, most successful people today in various fields have had a healthy childhood. At the time they were kids, computers games were unheard of. What spelled fun for them was a day long activity in their kids wooden playhouse. The nice thing about having a backyard playhouse is that you can personally supervise your children and their playmates. You can interact with them while they’re playing by bringing some snacks to them.
Unfortunately, nowadays you’ll hardly see toddler outdoor playsets anymore as parents prefer to buy digital game consoles for their kids. They have absolutely no idea how the digital age is separating them from their precious youngsters.
Now if you’re a new Mom or Dad, it would help if you brought back the traditional backyard playset. This will enhance your toddler’s motor skills. Watch him in awe as he jumps, runs, screams, climb, and goof around. Your child’s mind develops until he turns five so make the most of his youth. Teach him to be creative instead of being dependent on machines and computers. It’s so easy to learn these things afterwards but once you pass at the chance of honing your child’s creativity, you can never go back.
